Chirag Patel, Practice Head

Since graduating as a Physiotherapist in 2009 from Brunel University, Chirag has gained invaluable experience working in a number of specialities including Musculoskeletal Outpatients, Neurology, Respiratory and Community settings, whilst employed at Barts Health NHS Trust. Alongside this, he worked at Diesel Physiotherapy, a well-established private outpatient clinic, where he thrived in providing an excellent personalised service to clients, meeting their individual needs and expectations. He is also gained his Level 1 APPI Pilates qualification whilst furthering his soft tissue skills through various courses.

These experiences inspired Chirag to open ‘My Physio Croydon’ in January 2014, where his vision is to excel in providing outstanding personal care to clients with state-of-the-art equipment through a friendly, motivated and highly-skilled team.

Chirag is a keen sportsman, enjoying playing Cricket for Woodmansterne, football and weight-training at his local gym. He is a massive fan of Crystal Palace FC and attends as many matches as possible! His passion for sport and constant research into innovative treatments led him to discover the Alter G treadmill, which he believes will be an asset to ‘My Physio Croydon’ in revolutionising the rehab of various debilitating conditions and injuries.

Karen Muldoon, Senior Physiotherapist

Karen qualified as a physiotherapist in Liverpool in 1986. She has worked in numerous areas of physiotherapy in UK and abroad particularly neurology and musculoskeletal therapy. For a number of years whilst based in Hong Kong she enjoyed working with players at ATP tennis events in Asia. Her major interest is postural and movement re-education using Pilates concepts of core strengthening , body alignment and co-ordination. She has been teaching this for 18 years and feels passionately that everyone can benefit from learning more about their bodies particularly to help control pain and recover from injuries. This is done on a one to one basis and small groups in the clinic. She has two lovely teenage boys and enjoys dog walking , drama and singing.

Jean Diesel, Senior Physiotherapist

Chartered muskulo-skeletal physiotherapist and previous co-director of physiotherapy at The Sport Science Institute of South Africa, Jean Diesel has 24 years of experience in the treatment of sporting and orthopaedic conditions.
